Here’s Exactly What to Expect
A clear, step-by-step process — from your first conversation to a completed plan.
Most people put off estate planning because they don’t know what they’re walking into. We’ve designed our process to fix that. From the first call to the final signed document, you’ll always know what’s coming next, how long it takes, and why each step matters.
Your entire plan — from initial session to delivery — is designed to be completed within two months.

The Four Phases of Your Plan
| 1 ~2 hours |
The Guided Planning Session
This is where everything begins. We block two full hours on the calendar — just for you and your family. No rush, no assembly line. In the first hour, Bryn guides you through a structured review of everything you own, everyone you love, and what would happen to all of it if something happened to you. You’ll discuss what matters most, what worries you, and what would give you the greatest peace of mind. If you decide to move forward, the second hour is spent designing your plan together. You’ll leave with a clear picture of exactly what your plan will look like — and your Signing Meeting already on the calendar. How to reduce the session fee to $100: The Guided Planning Session is $850. Complete the pre-session Questionnaire and submit it at least 3 days before your appointment, and we'll reduce the fee to $100. The questionnaire helps you organize your financial and legal life in advance — and helps Bryn prepare so your session time is spent on decisions, not paperwork. The session fee is credited toward your plan if you move forward — so nothing goes to waste. |
| 2 ~1 hour | ~5 weeks after Step 1 |
The Signing Meeting
Before you arrive, we’ll send your completed documents for review so there are no surprises at the table. Bryn walks through every document with you in plain language — explaining exactly what each one does and confirming that your plan reflects your wishes. Once you sign, your family is protected. Your documents are valid and enforceable. Where many attorneys hand you a binder and send you on your way, we see the signing as the beginning of our relationship — not the end. |
| 3 Ongoing after the signing |
The Funding Phase
A signed trust that doesn’t hold your assets isn’t doing its job. The Funding Phase is where we make sure your plan actually works. We walk you through the process of transferring assets into your trust, correcting beneficiary designations, and ensuring every account and property is titled appropriately. We review your asset spreadsheet together and answer every question until you’re confident everything is in order. This is one of the most important — and most often skipped — steps in estate planning. We don’t skip it. |
| 4 Every 3 years | at no additional charge |
The Maintenance Phase
Your life changes. Laws change. Your plan should keep up. At no additional charge, we meet with you at least every three years to review your estate plan. We check for gaps created by changes in the law, shifts in your family situation, or new assets that need to be addressed. This isn’t a courtesy — it’s a core part of how Juniper Law works. An estate plan that was right three years ago may not be right today, and we’re committed to making sure yours stays current. |
