How We Are Different

How You Hire Us

What makes our firm different is that we build relationships, not just documents.  Documents are not good planning – they result from good planning. For that reason, we always begin with a Planning Session to guide you to clarify your financial life and legacy goals before we draft a single document and we do not make any assumptions about what you need.

This first meeting is designed to help you get more financially organized than you have ever been before.  This is an extremely valuable process for you and your family because you will create a full inventory of your assets and ensure your family knows exactly what you have and where it is located.

Starting here ensures you choose the right plan for you based on your family dynamics, your assets, and your budget. Your plan and our work cover the full picture of what matters most throughout your life and after your death.

How We Plan

Every Life & Legacy Plan is unique, driven by your personal relationships, family dynamics, assets, and risk factors. We work with you to map out the most likely scenarios for your family and we plan for each as life, the law, and your assets change over time.  When a lawyer does not take the time to listen and consider your personal circumstances, the result is that your estate plan does not end up reflecting what you and your family intended to happen.

If all you want is a set of legal documents, there are plenty of online resources you can use to create them or you can go to a traditional estate planning lawyer and use their “one-size-fits-all” approach.  You may pay less upfront, but most often, it ends up being more expensive in the long run because shortly after you create those documents, they become outdated.

Juniper Law wants to make sure your plan works when you need it.  We review your plan with you at least every three years to ensure it stays up-to-date with you, your family, your assets, and the law.  We foster a lifetime, ongoing relationship with our clients.  When you plan with us, your plan will keep up with all the changes in your life.

From the moment you call our office, you will see we have a plan to help you choose the right plan for you and your family.  At our initial meeting, you will choose the level of planning and fee that works for you.  Everything we do is based on a fixed flat fee agreed to in advance and based on your plan choices. There will never be any surprises or unexpected invoices.

What You Get

Our process helps you get your legal and financial matters in order, and not just a set of documents. And once that is done, we do not just send you on your way.  We make sure your assets are owned in the right way, we make sure your children’s well-being is properly planned for, and we ensure everyone you have named in your plan knows what to do if anything happens to you.

If you have minor children, we help you ensure they will always be taken care of by the people you want, in the way you want, no matter what happens.  We include a Kids Protection Plan® so your children are never taken into the care of strangers, Child Protective Services, or someone a judge has chosen for you.  Your Kids Protection Plan® is a set of instructions, legal documents and an emergency wallet card so in the event something happens to you, the authorities will know who you want caring for your children immediately.  If you have adult children, we help you weave them into your estate plan with care and forethought so they are prepared every step of the way.

How We Deliver

Far too many estate plans end up unfinished, unsigned, unfunded, or outdated, leaving families in court and in conflict. This regularly happens despite them having paid thousands of dollars to have the plan prepared. This is just the way estate planning has been done for decades. We help mitigate the biggest risks of traditional estate planning: procrastination and neglect. Our Life & Legacy Planning approach is designed to ensure you not only get your planning done but that your plan stays up to date as your life changes.

Our firm was built with the needs of growing families in mind.  We understand families today are BUSY – you are raising children, caring for elderly parents, working hard to build your own nest egg, and therefore value convenience and efficiency.  We provide just that – so you know you have made the best decisions for your family and feel secure that your plan will work when your loved ones need it the most.
